What type of historical figures? If you are looking for the founder of Hinduism, there is no one defined founder. Hinduism has always been around it is an eternal religion.

Hindusam real name is sanatan dharma. It has no founder, it is there since forever. There are two main thoughts, vaishnva and shaiva. One who worship vishnu and other who worship shiva. But there are other also such as people who worship goddess Durga and Kali. But that doesn't mean those who worship vishnu don't worship shiva and same with shiva and durga worshipper. One great historical figure is Shri Adi Shankarachrya.
