Pipes are humming intermittently, but stop after toilet is flushed. Is there a danger of pipes bursting until we can contact a plumber? Should I shut off the main water supply overnight?

Are the pipes humming only immediately after the toilet is flushed ? Then the sound stops when toilet tank is refilled ?
