Little background: I live in Montreal.

Problem:

Sometimes the inside of my A/C freezes out.

I've noticed it only happens when the day is not so hot.

As an example, today it feels very hot and there's a lot of humidity, so my A/C has been working fine.

However yesterday it wasn't working at all and when I opened the filter I witnessed the following:
(The inside is completely frozen)

I'm wondering if this is a leak ?

Thank you for any answers provided.

It's likely you have low refrigerant levels, or a frozen line. Best have an HVAC guy check it. Honestly this should be done every spring before the cooling season begins as well as cleaning your outside unit.

Your link didn't work.

This is NOT a do it yourself job. You need specialized tools and the knowledge to use them. Call an HVAC person.
