If I have a lien on my credit report from a lease that I broke, how long does it stay on my credit for?

I believe it will be there for 7 years

You don't usually get a Lien on a credit report, liens are placed against property. If any Lien is placed against property that you own it is probably because of a judgment against you. If a lien is listed against your credit report, it will probably remain there until its satsified. However, if a judgement is listed that should be purged after 7 years.
