Basically I am trying to find an old song but all I can remember about it is its about a guy who had it all and then lost his woman and the ability to write songs one verse is about the chords and words not working and another he is on about sitting in a bar I think watching his girl up on a TV singing.

What the hell was that about lol. I don't know why I watched it after your post. What style, what year or so did it come out? Do you have any lyric at all or a reasonable facsimile?
