No way to recover it... assuming it was write protected... as I don't think you need one to view, just to edit. You can try importing it into a third party word word procession or text editing program.. or cut and paste into it, not all will honor the flag, but some will. Or you can try to COPY the document. Sometimes you can edit a copy, just not the original document.
