I sent my PC to my trustee computer repair shop... it was almost $100 round trip.
Problem: I got caught in a scam and wanted the footprints of those other fake
Sites gone.

He said he took care of all that ; did all updates and was surprising me by not
Charging me. It did cost me $53 to send to him UPS and $48 coming back.
It was well packed, tons of bubblewrap.
Oh, he made me a promise to not go to windows 10 but keep it at 7. I'm a
Very senior person and do not understand technology.

I called him and when I put it on I got a window that said repair or click
Start normally. Neither worked. Each time I clicked it, the PC shut itself off.
He thinks something went wrong in the transportation from Brooklyn to
Upstate New York. I can't get it to him again but he said I should find
Someone local. Do you have any other suggetiions. It's costing me so \much
Money.

Is there a senior center in your area? If so, contact them and ask if they know of a reliable computer tech who volunteers his time or at least offers a senior discount. Area churches are often sources of free or low-cost services for seniors. Or call your local library reference desk, explain your problem, and consider their suggestions to get your computer working again. (P.S. For what it's worth, I spent my formative years near Rochester.)

Those are excellent suggestions. I'm new here in Dutchess County. I was
In Brooklyn before where there are so many services. I'll have to learn
About senior centers here.

One of these libraries must be your home library. Start there.
