My husband's hair follicle test is today and I'm super nervous. The week after Thanksgiving he smoked with a couple of friends one night. Then was in Washington for work and had a couple of hits off a joint on December 1st. Hasn't smoked since but he also hasn't been really exercising either. He's 6'1" and 210lbs with thick black hair. So it's been about 113 days now. He keeps his hair pretty trimmed up as well and has had 6 haircuts since the last time he smoked. Hairdresser said she takes about a quarter of an inch to half an inch off the top every time and says he should be fine. He has about two inches on the top of his head right now. I'm doing the math and I feel like he should be okay but I'm still super nervous. Is there a chance he will fail this? I read some responses and feel confident he will and then I read others and think that he won't. This is a pre-employment hair test. Thought it would be a urine test but... surprise!

If they took hair from the head he should be OK but if they took body hair there might be a problem as body hair gives about a 1 year time frame. The exercise weight and height have no bearing on a hair drug test.

Thanks for your quick response. Doesn't a pre-employment drug test only test back 90 days?? He doesn't have hair long enough on his body to test. Unless they just want some wispy hairs from his forearm. He has plenty length on the top of his head. He told me that the stuff he smoked in Washington was medical grade stuff and he only took a couple hits. This is what got me the most worried because I feel like it was super potent compared to the typical stuff you find. I don't know why...
