We had gotten a sub-pump put in our basement after having years of floods my late husband had finally listen to me before he died. But after the pump was install a corner of the basement that never showed any leaks, but the floor is showing mud and water leaking in my basement floor and I noticed that the wall had separated also in the same place. I had tried to get my husband to call the water company, but that was a lost cause. He is dead now died new years eve. And I had slip and so has others that went down the basement. It is to late to get the people who install the pump to fix this because it happen after the pump was put in and not before. I need to fix this but I don't know what to use to fix it?

Can you post pictures of the problem area? Are you saying that the wall where the sump pump was placed, is cracked?

Pictures would help me give advice. Please check this post often, we have amazing plumbers and construction people on this site, and they really know their stuff.

Me, I need more info before I can give advice, and I think pictures might also help the more experienced volunteers on this site.

My condolences on the loss of your husband.

Pictures would help a great deal but that sounds like the slab is sinking and that can be a real problem. How old is this house?

If you needed a sump pump then you likely have had foundation and sealing issues for a very long time.

You really do need an expert to come in, and not just explain your problem, but give you the best options how to deal with it. I recommend 3 trusted local contractors.

Most estimates are free.
