Some people subscribed this formula for a used car. Suggested Retail price $4,573 and Fair Market is $3,787 a 20.7% difference. Do you think this formula is a legitimate representation for a used car? A trade-in would be an after the fact issue, after the price is set. Do you consider it prudent to even mention the trade-in till the price is agreed upon, despite the seller asking you up front “Do you have a trade-in”?

What kind of used car. Make, model, year, etc. Why would you think we wouldn't need to know this information in order to help you ? LOL

Just a general question about buying use cars. Hypothetical.
Maybe there is a method you have to buy a car?
