I'm on a board that has a segment for missing persons. I'm trying to help
Someone whose mother left him as a young boy and never called or made
Contact. I got her married name at the time and her maiden name and
Approx age and which part of NY she lived in. I checked the obits
Without luck. Are there any other sites I could check besides intelius,
Zabasearch, whitepages, and a few others?? Her last job was in a
Hospital that closed its doors years ago. Her son wants closure.

Have you tried Facebook?

Yes... but the name is so common that I had no luck at all... used her former
Married name and her maiden name and both had tons of people... I just
Tried the Justice Dept for missing persons but no luck

You won't get a hit on missing persons if she hasn't been reported as one.

Guess you're right... slim chance her husband reported it and the son didn't
Know about it... well, she wasn't in the obits either... I'm about to give up

Her son needs to have a Facebook page of his own, and put all this on it, with his own birth data, and requests to share.
I have seen many people find someone that way.
When I am looking for someone I know, I have no problem weeding out all the people with the same name. That's why he needs to do this himself.

Has he tried hiring a private investigator? If FB didn't work, and all the online digging didn't work, then perhaps it's time to hire someone that does this sort of thing for a living, with results.

You may be right. Are you familiar with any reputable resource for this?
I don't know his financial circumstances but, as my mom use to say,
"it couldn't hurt"... I will also ask him if he did a Facebook search.
Thank you for your suggestions.
