In maths 8+6=14 but when we count from 8 to 6 in clocks it comes out to be 10 hours.Why?

Because one is Base 10, the other is base 12. Also you are comparing apples and oranges.
8 items + 6 items is 14 items. 8 hours + 6 Hours is 14 hours. Same number. But 6PM-8AM is 10 hours because it's a different calculation.

Base 12 is correct, however, 6PM to 8 AM is 10 hours? 14 hours! --7-8-9-10-11-12-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8

LOL! Finally a math question I can comprehend.
To put it in simple terms, I hope, adding and telling time, are very different. There are 12 hours on a clock, and each number represents both AM and PM. It's not like adding numbers and coming up with a sum.
Math is based on 10's, clocks are based on 12's.
Frankly, this isn't really that hard to comprehend. If you're having this much trouble understanding, look at a clock, count the hours. Look at your hand and count your fingers.
Clocks and math are two different things.
