Engine stops/kills on a Craftsman riding lawnmower when I depress or engage the clutch.
Any Ideas?

Check for a safety switch. Also could be fuel mixtuer needs to be richened up.

Does it act like you are turning key off, or engine is dragged to a stop? If key then HVAC is on the right track if other look at seized bearings at deck.
