I watched this movie like 8 years ago, so it must be early 2000's movie.
It starts with a men (famous actor, can't remember which one) who gets stranded on a road in a city away from where he leaves. He rings on a door so he can call for help, but a men with a shotgun gets out and wants to shoot him, and explains to him that he has been coming there every night and asking to use the phone, but the man who is stranded does not recollect that, he thinks it's the fist time he is there.
Another thing I remember about this movie is the being that is doing all that stuff to him and it is a dark shadowy being (never exposes his real form in the movie) with red eyes. The being also informs the man of actual human disasters that will happen in the future (like airplane crashes, earthquakes and so on) with the correct date and time and the correct number of victims.
