Dear Team,

Requesting your help. I am 6 weeks and 2 day pregnant as on 12 Sept. I already had one abortion on Feb this year in 2 months pregnancy. In this second attempt, today my blood reports revealed TSH level- 40.27 T3- 2.75 T4 - 0.76. One doc is suggesting that its right time we get this info and will fix it with eltroxin 125mg.

In contrast another doc suggesting that I should terminate this pregnancy. I am confused. Did brain development effected in this value or already effected or Eltroxin will get down levels in Normal in 2-4 days since this developmental week?

What percentage of risk (mental retardation or any growth retardation) is involved in my case?

Please suggest what should I Do, CONTINUE OR TERMINATE?
please please help

ANKITAST, this is not the kind of question you should be asking people online, sorry.
I know it's frustrating to have 2 different medical opinions.
You are the only person on this planet who can choose between the 2 doctors. You can try getting a third opinion. (There is no 'Team' on this site.)
You don't even say why you had the abortion in February! You don't even say WHY the second doctor advised against medications! How can we possibly know enough about you, your health, your history, your family history, to advise, even if there were 5 specialists here working together?

I personally am the kind of person who would want my thyroid levels to be normal before getting pregnant. That's ALL I will say.

There are no doctors on this site or any site on the internet. No doctor would risk his/her medical license by giving medical advice of this nature, online, to a patient they've never met.

In other words, you won't find valid advice online. I suggest you trust the doctors you're working with, and if you don't trust them, then get another opinion. In the end you have to decide which information to follow and which course of action you're going to take. Me, I'd take the risk and have the baby, but that's just my personal feelings and not a medical opinion.
