I want to destroy some electrical equipment (computer, monitor, TV, receiver, speakers). What would be an easy way to do this?

The only thing I could come up with was attaching a car battery to jump cables and the other end of the cables to each prong of the plug for each device. I don't think that will work though because batteries give off less volts than outlets. Any ideas?

I don't believe this is an appropriate question. The theme here is improvement, not destruction. False warranty claims just increase the initial cost of the product for everyone else.

My roommate stole some of my stuff while I wasn't home. He tried to say people broke into our house and only stole my stuff. But there's nothing I can do but call him a liar. Im trying to blow his sound system to get even. My greatgrandfather is an electrician I'll give him a call if you guys don't know how to get it done.

This is a sign of a very immuture person, and what you are doing is illegal

I truly hope you and your greatgrandfather end up in jail if you both do something like this.

And of course this post is proof that you are going to try and do it, perhaps we should track your IP address and forward this to your local police station, so your room mate will have proof of your action.

Any electrician, or any person for that matter, with any ethics and values will not help you destroy property, which could also create a fire, and cause more loss of property or life.

That person that does assist can be considered as an accessory in a criminal case, even may be subjected to more penalty due to the misuse of skilled knowledge.

A licensed electrician will loose his license, along with having a criminal record.

Why involve someone else, nothing stopping you from doing your own dirty work and using a hammer on the equipment.

Why don't you act as the adult and handle this in a more appropriate manner, such as has the police been called in for an investigation and report? Even suing your roommate in small claims court may help.

Get a big 'ol hammer and do what you will, only a coward goes after somebody's stuff when they have a problem. Don't ask us to help you do what we spend our careers trying to prevent.

I have a better idea, give all his stuff to me.
