Two friends compare their ages. The difference between their ages is 3 years, and the product of their ages is 238. How old is the older friend?

Do you know algebra? You can just think it through instead, like I did.

We're more than happy to help, but we won't give you the answer. Work it out, what equation would you use to figure this out? You're being taught this, so you should be able to figure it out.

Find the equation, find the answer, post it, and we'll tell you if you're right, and if you're not, we'll tell you where you went wrong, but we won't give you the answer. That's not teaching you anything at all, and this is for you to learn. Sometimes learning means putting in the work to figure it out.

X x Y+3 = 238. No go from there.
