We secrete a clear, gluey, stringy substance at times, whether during our period or not, from 2 tiny glands near the opening of the vagina. Yours is mixing with old blood, which is why it's brown sometimes (red blood 'oxidizes' when exposed to air). I doubt that it's 'in' your urine, just coming out at the same time. You may be cramping because it's not getting out as easily as usual. Try a heating pad, warm bath, and exercise - walking, or pelvic tilts while lying down, or both.

If you have sex, you could have conceived and your body rejected it almost immediately, just after the menstrual lining started to grow more than a usual period. No one knows how often that happens, but it's believed to be very common.

Brown discharge is old blood, blood that's being cleaned out of your system. It's rarely something to be worried about, and happens to all of us at least once. For me it always happened at the end of my period, but there were a few times when it happened between periods.

I'm guessing that you're asking if you're pregnant? Sadly we can't answer that, no one online can.

You had your last period 8 days ago, 12/5/2016, according to your question. If you are pregnant, it would be way too early to tell or test.

The only way to determine pregnancy is with a urine test, a blood test, an ultrasound in later pregnancy (at least 5 weeks gestation), or giving birth. At 8 days after your period, it's too early to do any of those test.

Could it be an STI or infection? Yes. If you're concerned about that you'll have to see your doctor for testing.

The earliest you can take a pregnancy test is at least a week after a missed period. In other words, you'll have to wait for your next period, and if you miss it, wait a week then take a urine test using first morning urine (your first pee of the day), and then go from there.

That's really the best advice we can offer.

Good luck.
