Hi Im a teacher and I don't work in the summer . I also do some Finance etc on the side. I know its hard to get a summer job so was interested in even just volunteering at certain companies to learn more etc.. How do I go about asking if I can volunteer. Thanks

It is often called "intern" jobs and you should find many available. Look at your university web site, for jobs.
And on most web sites offering jobs.

Call companies that interest you and ask what each might be able to do for you. You can job-shadow (usually short term) or work during the summer for free (usually that's considered an "intern" or volunteering) or work for pay (temp job).
