My china cabinet uses 25w r-14 reflector spot light bulbs, standard base. Recently these have been burning out quickly and become stuck in the socket so that only half the bulb comes out.
1. Was advised to try to find led bulbs in 25 w reflector... so I would not need to change them as often. Problem: Cannot find anywhere this size in led.
2. Perhaps I need to change the actual "sockets" by an electrician.
Does anyone know the approximate price to do this.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks

Remove a Broken Light Bulb Base From a Light Fixture (http://lighting.about.com/od/Fixtures/a/How-To-Remove-The-Base-Of-A-Broken-Light-Bulb-From-A-Light-Fixture.htm)

Unplug the cabinet first for safety. And where do you live that has no Loew's, Home Depot, or Walmart, Target or Sears or Kmart? I think I would even experiment with different bulbs before I call an electrician to change the bases.

I googled YOUR bulb and they were available everywhere and you can even order them or a compatible alternative.

You have all kinds of options for light bulbs.

Did you by chance place any object on top of this cabinet like a vase or plant? These cabinets have vents to allow heat to escape and should not be blocked. Talaniam is spot on
