I have a Jade stone on a gold ring stamped HMS. Is it real?

Impossible to tell without actually seeing it.

Let a jeweler look at it. If gold, it will be marked 18KT, 14KT etc. If it is marked 18ktGF, it is gold filled and not expensive. It may or may not be real jade.
