Purchased 2 Harbor Breeze Edenton ceiling fans, Model L2B1, Item #102524. Although I really like the fan, I decided I wanted different globes after installing both and seeing how wide open the globes actually are. I wanted globes that do not show so much of the connection between light bulb and socket. After looking at Lowe's and the other big box store like Lowe's, I called Harbor Breeze customer support. These globes do not connect like most, with the 3 little screws holding it in place. The hole at the top of the globe has a 1" opening. The light socket fits through the 1" opening, and the globe is held in place by a hex nut, screwing it on from the inside of the globe. I was informed they do not make them for any other fan/light kit. So this odd sized item, you are stuck with and have no other design choices. I wish I knew this before buying and installing both fans. Horrible they make something like this for only 1 fan, and then only 1 option period. Anyone know of any options available? Can't use traditional globes with the 2.25" opening, as the hole is too big and the hex nut fits right through the hole, so can't secure the globe to the light kit arm.

Go to the hardware store and pick up a washer large enough to hold the globe in place
