Disability check from what source? If you got a W2, most likely yes, it is still income. Were taxes taken out?

It depends.

If the disability is SSDI, or from the Veterans Administration, or from a private disability insurance policy, then NO.

If it is from your former employer (who paid for the disability insurance), then YES, the disability IS taxable.
