My friend Meko lives in California and she understands mainly finnish and is starting to learn french. She is really uncomfortable with english, and we can't find dubs for her shows. She does not like subtitles at all. How can I help her understand these shows without having any knowledge of finnish/french?

You let your friend suffer, if they are not willing to use subtitles. Sometimes you have to meet society 1/2 way if you want to function in it.
