UC7083 T red light stays on.

Other then the red light being on does it function as normal ? Have you removed the batteries and tried cleaning with compressed air and alcohol ?

Its likely toast and needs to be replaced but try this. Remove the batteries, vigorously shake it over the sink, wrap it in a paper towel and plunge it in a bag of white rice for a day. Reinstall the batteries and take a test spin.
