Basically, I'm female and having been contemplating on opening up a YouTube channel but have always questioned if my religion would allow it. I'm 15 and it would be great if I could get the answer as soon as possible.

What's your religion? That info would help us give you an answer.

You were online for a long time after I posted. Did I offend you by asking for info that would help us answer your question?
If you're atheist, it's no problem.
If you're Catholic, it's no problem.
If you're in any religion or country that doesn't demoralize women, and sees them as equals, then no problem.
If you're in a religion where women are not viewed equal to men, where women have little to no rights, then it's a problem.
Sadly we have no idea what your religion is. You never told us.
Good luck. :)

This is something you should ask your parents about. If you are muslim then certain things may be allowed but other things wont be. It is up to the rules that are set by your life that govern you. YouTube is open to everyone and so long as it isnt hate speech or offensive then you can create content as you wish.

Hello
Youtube is a free platform to join once you are at the right age , though you do have to follow these https://www.youtube.com/yt/policyandsafety/communityguidelines.html .
As for your religion , yes this could effect whether your allowed on Youtube on not.

YouTube is an open platform for all, where one can watch videos and share stuff that interest him/her. It does not discriminate on the basis of class, creed, sex and religion. So, you are free to open your own YouTube channel. Enjoy :)
