I am trying to understand hay salary guide to apply it in my company but I cannot figure out how the Average salary is calculated!
There's D9 Q3 Median Q1 D1 and average, I thought the average would be D9+Q3+MEDIAN+Q1+D1 divided by 5 but it's not,

So does anybody have any idea on how its calculated?

An average is the sum of all items of data divided by the number of items, the median is supposed to approximate the average being the middle number in an ordered array
