Hi I've been having a serious concern on what's going on with me. My period today is now 8 days late. I am usually regular and my monthly visitor comes right on time if anything not more that a day or two late. My last period was December 16 and I did however have unprotected sex the 24th of December. I have been expecting my period since the 14th of this month and still nothing. I have been experiencing cramping from time to time and also white discharge that I usually get before my period but nothing is happening. I took a home pregnancy test after day 5 it was negative, as well as another at a clinic today that was also negative. Im not sure what is going on but this is very unusual for me.

I will assume the one at the clinic was also not a blood test. (which would show correct at this point)

A urine test may not show correct at only 8 days late. And esp one that is not done first thing in the morning, as soon as yo wake up. The first urine of the morning, will be most correct on testing.

It is normally best to wait till you are at least 2 week late, to test, so wait about one week, and test again, first thing in the morning.

Pregnancy is of course an option, and good luck, It is very possible.

The Pregnancy Hormone HCG can generally be detected around 11 days after conception with a Blood test and around 12-14 days with a urine test.

That being said , just like above it is best to do a Urine Pregnancy test in the morning just after you have woken up.

Unusual can be scary, but test again in a week if you haven't gotten your monthly visitor. Pregnancy is always possible when you have sex... protected or NOT.
