Blower motor runs but
Pilot light is out and I am not sure how to safely re-light it

Go to YouTube and look up "how to light pilot to forced air furnace". If you can enter the name brand (Trane, Carrier, etc.) of the furnace, this will greatly improve the odds of finding your exact furnace.

We at least need a brand and model. How old is your heater? Are you sure it has a pilot?
