How to be a criminal lawyer?

What study you have to do? After studies, what do you need to join? Any specific institute? How to settle a career as a criminal lawyer?

Thanks!

Calling a law school would be my first move to find out what it takes to be a lawyer.

Once you have a bachelor's degree (generally 4 years) from a college or university, you need to attend law school (normally 3 years) to get a JD degree. Then you need to pass the bar exam in the state in which you want to practice law.

Then, of course, you would look for a job or for clients.

Thank you all! And AK Lawyer, it is exactly what I need.

And you may want to look at what percent actually pass the bar.

Some schools have higher averages, but about 25 or 30 percent of the people who graduate law school, actually pass the test. And the starting pay is much lower than you may believe.
