I bought hand held shower combo model no.8473100gbt Home Depot back in the fall and it leaked at the hand shower & put out very little water on any setting, now main shower head only works on 2 settings. What are my chances of getting something that works. I paid enough for it and being handicapped I need both upper head & slide bar head to be able to bathe myself. Please hel

The sooner you talk to HD, the better. They have your purchases in their computers. Is gbt Glacier Bay? Who installed it? Do you have hard water, and do you have a water softener? Is the plumbing old (do you see a lot of mineral deposits on the valves in the basement) leading to the shower? Do you have an access panel behind the shower?

I would never buy hand held set from big box stores. Best hand-held set ( hose, hand-held shower, slide bar, and wall union) is made by Grohe. Nothing else comes even close to it.
With fixed wall shower heads - here you have better choice. Again, I prefer Grohe.
Shower heads with many spray patterns do not work very well as shower head usually doesn't have enough water volume and pressure to compliment the advertised spray patters. Less spray patterns, the better. Also, it is not recommended to use the multi-spray shower head in households with hard water as minerals will clog the mechanism inside the multi-function shower head and prevent it from functioning as it should. In other words - simpler, the better.
