I watched this war movie in early 2000s but don't know when it came out. I remember a few scenes

The american comes to a village and he meets men of the village and they have hard names to pronounce for him so he calls them lightning, thunder etc I don't remember totally.

One guy tells the american "you fight for money, we fight for our freedom"

All 40 men from the village and a few americans go on a bus and the dude gives a speech about being a war hero and after a few moments they get ambushed and the battle begins.

What is the name of this movie?

There are two characters, thunder and lightning. Plus the bus... All I could think of
