You have no spin cycle?

Please read the "Spin and Drain Cycles".

Here are some manuals to help you diagnose the problems you are having (You will need a good multimeter, too.):https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8010163/Whirlpool-Kenmore%20washers.zip

I would guess that you could have a bad solenoid or switch. It could even be a bad or maladjusted lid switch (on some machines). Read the book, "Understanding Automatic Washers" and by using a meter you will be able to quickly find the problem. You can find a good meter at Home Depot here: ($17.98) Commercial Electric Digital Multimeter-MAS830B - The Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-Digital-Multimeter-MAS830B/202353293)
48069 Or: 48070 This one is at: Commercial Electric Digital Clamp Meter-MS2002 - The Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-Digital-Clamp-Meter-MS2002/205620397) and cost me $42.38 and is a very good deal because it's an auto-ranging digital multimeter that has the clamp-around function to test for amperage when you need to test a line to see how much amperage a device is using. This meter will do it all-from testing electronic parts in TVs to testing parts in a washing machine or air conditioner. You cannot repair much of anything without a good meter.
