Hello,
My name is Dennis and I am a owner of the house. I hired a contractor to build my house. Due to many issues with this constractor, I wanted to discontinue working with them. What should I do if I want to close a contract with this contractor? How do I transition this unfinished project to a new contractor? Please help!
Thank you,

Just for clarity what are the issues with this contractor that cause your conflicts?
It's not a small thing nor a cheap decision to break a contract and getting another contractor who may well charge even more to follow upon work already done. Be great if you had a knowledgeable experienced friend to air your grievances, or legal counsel to review your contract. That's where I would start, with expert advice and have facts and not frustrated feeling to make such a HUGE decision.
On it's face, no one can say if this guy is so wrong, and you right without a lot more details.

You didn't give us much to go on except "issues". Are these contract breaking issues, just not happy? Remember, a contract, if properly constructed and signed, is a legal document and has force of law behind it. Are you ready and financially prepared to possibly fight this in court? How about some more detail as to the issues. In the last house we built, I had "issues" too. However, the builder, because of the written contract, tore out all the existing walls and rebuilt them "per contract". Cost him a lot of $$$.

You will have to prove that this contractor is in breach of his written contract with you.
And that you have informed him in writing of this breach, and that he has failed to correct such problems.
So what areas has he broken the contract with you?
