Hello all. I have a split system A/C and recently I had some work done to it. I think the sequencer burnt up, I know it was replaced. Well now when I run the heat I heard the coils dripping water.(I don't know if they should be on heat?) Now here recently it has cooled off more so we were running the heat more often and this afternoon the coils are freezing up. Did the A/c guy screw something up or do I need to clean the coils ? I'm almost beyond wanting to pull my hair out with this thing.

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Sounds like you might have a heat pump. If you do it does run all the time... only in reverse. If that's the case it will periodically revert to A/C mode long enough to melt any ice buildup on the outside coils... but its not going to do that long, and won't be dripping in heat pump mode.

Do you have any idea what your indoor humidity level is?

If it runs constantly. Its usually either VERY cold out or you have an airflow restriction (usually filter needs cleaned/replaced) or low refrigerant pressure in the system.
