What happens to water trapped on the spiral hose from a handheld shower, roman tub design? when slid back down the hole?
Just soak on the floor?
Is there a custom "catch and send to drain" devise that is supposed to be installed?
I thought of a car floor mat, but mildew will still transpire.
Tub manufactures do not build such a devise into the tub.
Faucet packages don't offer such a thing.
What cool tricks does a pro plumber use?

Thanks in advance,
DIYer

It stays in the hose.

As stated above, water stays in the hose. If you are getting drip under tub from that hose, than one of the three things may be happening:

1. Bad hose. Water leaks into the metal sleeve, travels to the lowest point of the loop and drips out ( metal sleeve is there only to protect soft rubber hose from kink and damage )
2. Handle of the shower is not screwed onto the hose properly. During use, water drips into the metal hose sleeve and same drip as in #1 occurs
3. While in use, you splash water into the shower holder. In plain terms, that hose holder is a "hole in the edge of the tub" leading under the tub.

To fix #1, replace hose. To repair #2, hand-tighten the hose threaded end onto the hand-held shower head. Consider replacing the rubber washer as well. As far as #3 goes - just be careful not to spray water in the direction of the deck-mounted shower holder.

Hope that explains
