I live in a hi rise condo and have the WatcoFlex tub shoe. The tub shoe is not accessible unless I remove the whole tub. The T at the bottom of the drain (which I assume is made of PVC is glued to the flex tube. I have put a camera in the drain and saw that the T is cracked right where the tube is cemented into the PVC T.

My question: What adhesive will work to seal the crack in the PVC from the inside?

More important I want to put in a rubber liner inside the flex hose for added prtection against leaks: What adhesive will bond rubber such as a bicycle inner tube to the inside of the tub shoe WatcoFlex hose?

Thanks for your help.

We usually get to the tub drain from behind the wall, from the other room. We cut small opening in the wall and that gives us access. Is that a possibility in your situation ?

I am afraid you won't be able to "line" the existing pipe. Besides getting the "lining" material inside the tube, it will also have to be perfectly cleaned of body oils and soap residue that are present on the interior of the drain pipe.

Back to you
