Since ethanol exposure causes creation of PEth, does topical exposure meet that criteria? Such as Hand Gels and or meds such as testosterone Etoh based topicals (Axiron)

When someone consumes alcohol (ethanol), the body creates something called phosphatidylethanol,this is normally only though actual consumption,
The use of the test is to show drinking for a longer period, possibly up to three weeks. It works best to detect bling drinking, the more that is drank at one time, the longer the test can detect.
This test was still in the research stage about 8 years ago, but it seems to have stable results and is being used more and more.
Other non digested items should have little effect on this test
