We needed a Goodman Fan Motor replaced, the part was under warranty, the Labor was not.. What is a reasonable labor cost to install.

Impossible to say. It all depends on the cost of labor in your area. You can call around and get 3 estimates.

You say the part is under warranty. Under warranty by whom? If it is a home warranty company, forget it. The practice of home warranty companies seem to be, yes the part is under warranty but not the labor. The contractor they send around will charge you more in labor than it would cost you to just replace the part yourself. Home warranties are not worth the paper they are written on.

You say air conditioning fan motor. I assume you mean the condenser fan motor (outside). These are very simple to replace. They usually have 4 bolts or screws that suspend them to the top grill. You disconnect the wiring, remove the motor and fan. Remove the fan blade from the motor shaft, put on the new motor and reinstall the motor. The only difficulty is knowing which wires to use if the new motor has more leads than the old. Get a motor with the same number of leads or understand what leads to use.

With all that being said, who determined that the fan motor is defective. It happens but is a bit unusual. More likely a defective fan motor capacitor.

Post back with infor on how you determined the motor was defective.

Inside air handler motor? Goodman with the welded ear tabs? Big PIA. Motor change $125-150. Actually a very easy job. See if they will give you the motor. I changed mine, out of warranty, in less than 45 minutes.
