And why ?

Because I am a walking poster for every skin condition and skin cancer in the book. She can see her regular doctor, next visit. No infection, discharge, pain, fever, or rash. No mole or reddish irregular area. Pigment change is very common and most people don't even notice. (I notice because I have to - everyone in my family has had some kind of skin cancer.) For me, even a mosquito bite can end up a mole, or the opposite, a drain of pigment in a widening circle around it. A dermatologist for this (unless you have family history of cancers) is a waste of insurance and tax dollars for a specialist unless your MD suggests it.

And why ? For many people an insect bite can cause pigment change. For some it's temporary, others permanent.

If if there is no heat, discharge, pain, redness, it can wait for a regular doctor visit.
