Hi my 2.3 has 304,000.0 miles on it and it was running fine until three days ago . I drove it about 25 miles and pulled into drive and turn it off . When I went to start it back up it would only crank over like it had no fire to the plugs . So let it set about 5 minutes and then cranked it over again then it made a loud boom sounded like a shotgun going off. Well the next day I went to start it it fired up and was running but here is the tricky part it sounded like it was bogged down asif it didn't have any power and also did not have any pressure out the tale pipe what so ever . What could be the problem??

Sounds like a blown headgasket.

The coil or coil packs could be bad. Let it run and see if if it quits when it warms up. If so, pull a coil or spark plug wire and put the end of it near something grounded and turn it over. No spark, and likely the coil is bad. Also check for continuity between the 2 small terminals on the coil. If it have more than one coil, check both of them. They should have a low, but not 0 resistance. If you do not have a meter, take them off and go to an auto parts store than will check them.
