Looking for advice! My spouse works for an international org. and has G4 visa which makes me G4 visa dependent. I got a job (local, national firm) and I was filling out W-4 and faced a problem. I understand I can only request allowance for myself (A=1), but why I cannot claim my children (two kids)? What is correct way to fill in without getting in trouble: A=1, B=0, C=0, D=0 or 2, E=0, F=0, G=0 and total H= 1 or 3?
Thank you so much!

As a G-4 visa holder, you are a NON-RESIDENT ALIEN and thus are NOT ALLOWED to claim your children as dependents. That being the case, you can only claim yourslef on the Form W-4.

Thank you!
And just double checking, can I claim myself?

It is all right, very happy to have an interesting job. I just want to have all paperwork in order - and not to pay too much taxes either. And just double checking, can I claim myself?
