I looking for a movie I saw in the 80s at a very young age on the Disney channel. It was about a young girl (who has a 3rd eye or crystal on her forehead) that time travels from the future to the present for reasons I don't remember, and is essentially stuck. This family takes her in, and she experiences eating cereal for the first time. The son of the family has some sort of toy helmet that filters his voice to sound robotic, and the father, later in the film, uses this to scare these government agents that are trying to chase down the girl from the future.

The movie ends with the girl going back to the future in this craft that looks like a saucer, and the daughter of the family decides they're best friends so she wants to go to the future with her. The craft time travels by rapidly spinning in place, and when they arrive, they get out, the girl looks on in awe (although you don't really see anything but smoke, they don't show the reverse shot as to what she sees to leave it up to imagination) and someone off camera says, "welcome to the year xxxx (whatever the year is supposed to be)". There's a freeze frame and the credits roll.

Thank you very much! I believe that it is indeed it! I found the Australian mini series that this was edited from on YouTube, and a lot of the things I vaguely remember are coming up.
