Hello,

I have had some constipation and took milk of magnesia laxative at 1:30pm today. The laxative took effect around 3:30pm. I proceeded to take my birth control pill this evening at 7:30pm (six hours later). Will the laxative effect the absorption of my birth control pill?

(Side Note: I have NOT had a bowel movement since 6:00pm today)

Laxatives are fine to take with birth control. However, certain antibiotics are not.
