Hey guys!

I've been trying to collect some of my childhood favorite movies lately and I can't really remember much about a specific one, so I was hoping you could helt me. It's an 80's fantasy/medevial movie and all I can remember from the plot is this:
There's a group of soldiers raiding a village and a dwarf female is protecting a human baby from a soldier by throwing her body over the boy. Later on the film the grown up child says goodbye to his protective dwarf and embarks on a quest (maybe to find his parents).
It's not much I know, it's the only thing I can rememer acuratelly. IT'S NOT Willow. It could be a Conan movie or something similar. Any help will be gratelly apreciated.
