You will have to pay restitution and you will probably be banned from Walmart for a year or more.

Now is the time to consider what kind of example you are setting for your daughter.

I pity your choices in life. Now is the time for some really hard thinking.

They reserve the right to charge you at a later time say if you don't pay what they ask or if they see you in the store after they decide to ban you... (IF they do). Meaning if you do get caught again ( in ANY Walmart anywhere)... they will use these in court against you to make sure you get a harsher sentence, and not give you the easy out a second time.

As for "the lashing..."

Your nickname here is Goodmommy05. Do you consider stealing with your child as being a good mom? Is there a reason you were stealing? No money and need to feed kids for example? If not, you may want to reflect on why you decided to break the law. If this isn't the first time you shoplifted, but the first time you got caught, you might want to consider counseling.

I worked briefly for a time in a Major Computer chain Store (as a temp during a period I was laid off between jobs) and had enough contact with the plainclothes security staff to learn that and how they operate. That was one thing they used to do.

Yes some of those other customers that look like they are shopping are security staff...in most stores. THen there are all the Cameras you don't see....plus the ones you do.

No, I was not being a good mom on this day, and I'm very guilty for not making sure that the items that I was,nt sure , ran up at the you can scan was rung up , instead I made a bad decision to just assume it was rung up and put it in the bag several times (No excuse ) and it happened in all 3 of my transaction after spending 55,87,and 83 dollars ,which was a lot of stuff to ring up and when register was saying unknown item ,I should have alerted the cashier , so no I don't go in and just steal and put my child at risk on purpose ( thank god she had no clue what was going on ) but at the end of the day I'm guilty and will never shop at Walmarts again or use a you can scan ever again ! Thanks for your comment !
