When did you take the pregnancy test? When you took it did you use first morning urine, your first pee of the day?

Yes I used first morning.. . I took it yesterday and I don't think the 21st was my period because my period is always really heavy no ifs ands or buts about it... and I always start between 12am and 4 am that's how normal my period is.. . so if I was going to start I would've started yesterday

Oh and also I'm not on the pill I did have unprotected sex and I'm 28 if any of that has any relevance

At this point, since you did have bleeding that could have been a period, even though your period is always regular (everyone has an off period at least once in their life without being pregnant), I'd wait and see what happens with your next period.

If you miss it, test again. If that test is negative, wait a week, or 2, and test again. If those tests are negative, time for a blood test.

I hear you. It's never easy to wait, but sadly that's the only option.

Come back and let me know how it works out. :)

"Oh and also I'm not on the pill I did have unprotected sex and I'm 28 if any of that has any relevance". 28 probably has nothing to do with it but the first two statements sure do.

Well I figured someone might ask my age considering it could be a sign of menopause lol but too young for that

I sure will I have been looking all over the internet and nobody seems to ever reply with what happened so I will make sure I do just in case anybody finds my question and is in the same boat lol

Sadly you're in the same boat as many. Having an off period happens to everyone at least once in their life. Many things can contribute to your period being off, or missing a period altogether. Illness, stress, weight loss, weight gain, medication, and the list goes on.

Now missing a period is an indicator that pregnancy is possible, but it's not always pregnancy that causes a missed period.

In other words, just going by your period, doesn't indicate pregnancy, which is why diagnosing pregnancy based only on a person period or symptoms, is not possible.

Only a urine test, blood test, or ultrasound in later pregnancy, can diagnose pregnancy, and there are many women that get negative results for many months even though they are in fact pregnant (at least with the urine and blood tests. Ultrasounds not so much, they're fairly accurate).
