My Kenmore Elite dishwashers "add dish" light is stuck on. How do I reset it?

These dishwashers, and many others have had a problem with bad capacitors just like many other electronic devices made in the last 20 years due to Taiwan's manufacturers using a faulty stolen formula to make Japanese capacitors which lacked the final step, unknown to the thief. Capacitors are little electrical storage devices that look like little cans and come in other shapes, too. They are in almost all electronic devices and act as filters to smooth out the power, mostly.
