View Full Version : A/C condenser motor wiring

I'm replacing the fan motor on my older Miller outside condenser.
The original motor was no longer available so I purchased a Fasco
Motor with the same specs. The original motor had 3 wires - 2 that went
To the F (black) & C (orange) lugs on the capacitor and one (blue) to
The T2 connection.

With the new motor I'm confronted with 4 wires, 2 with spade
Connectors (brown & brown/white) which are obviously meant to go
To the capacitor (but which wire goes to which lug?) - AND a
Black (hi) & white (com) wires which are just stripped ends.

I only know enough to get myself into trouble, but can you shed
Any light on this?

The motor should show the wiring diagram.

The motor should show the wiring diagram.

And indeed it does... but putting that diagram to practical use, when you have zero (0) wiring skills, is the problem. I need to know where to physically attach each wire.

The question is: brown & brown/white go to the capacitor, but which lug F or C for each? (the diagram does not show, only a generic shape) AND black (hi) & white (com) go where?

Thank you for looking at my dilemma!
