This brings into sharp focus what people are allowed to keep as pets

Bull charges woman in Sydney's west, leaving her with serious injuries (http://www.smh.com.au/environment/animals/bull-charges-woman-in-sydneys-west-leaving-her-with-serious-injuries-20150720-gig1sz.html)

We often hear of dogs attacking their owners and others, however should people and their neighbours be protected from well meaning efforts to keep a pet?

self selection ? Yes .

In the spirit of Charles Darwin, the Darwin Awards commemorate individuals who protect our gene pool by making the ultimate sacrifice of their own lives. Darwin Award winners eliminate themselves in an extraordinarily idiotic manner, thereby improving our species' chances of long-term survival.
